U of AL
Two black students were supposed to be admitted to the school. Everything went according to plan until the first day of school. The Governor of Alabama himself stood in the doorway and would not let the students in. He later spent the rest of his life apologizing for his actions. President Kennedy went on the air later that night and scolded America for its reactions to this. U of AL will be remembered as a forward attempt to end public and private segregation through the powers of the President.
